A variety of users will be able to enjoy the ease of mobile QR ticketing when the “DMRC TRAVEL” App becomes available for download on the Android and iOS platforms, respectively.
Passengers are urged to explore the app’s capabilities and advantages by downloading it from their respective app stores.
DMRC undertook a massively technically challenging exercise to upgrade its AFC Gates, which were already in passenger services, on all of its corridors without shutting these gates down even for a single day in record time, in order to provide such a user-friendly, cashless, and quick mode of ticketing.
In order to ensure that all the gates remained open for travellers when passenger services restarted the following day, the entire procedure was completed primarily during the brief window of time in the night after passenger services had ended. Over 60% of DMRC’s AFC gates have already been renovated with QR code scanners, and the other gates are also planned to be covered within the next one to two months.
By offering a cutting-edge and user-friendly ticketing solution, DMRC hopes to improve the overall commuting experience of customers with the launch of the “DMRC TRAVEL” App. This project is in line with DMRC’s dedication to use technology for its valued passengers’ comfortable trip.
A mobile QR ticket will be generated by the app following a successful payment. For admission and exit throughout your travel, show this QR ticket at the AFC (Automatic Fare Collection) gate.
You can access and manage your tickets as needed thanks to the app’s option to view the purchased tickets in the “view transaction” menu.
